动作柔和缓慢优美, 圆活连贯, 不僵不拘, 轻松自如, 舒展大方, 虚实分明, 松紧结合, 动静相兼, 神与形合, 气宇其中, 全身舒展而意味饱满似内家武术, 为上乘养生功夫气功, 武学的辅助功。 八段锦功法自宋朝时就已经开始流传, 已经有整千年的历史。传说岳飞曾命令下属官兵学习八段锦功法, 清朝乾隆皇帝、慈禧太后、毛泽东都练八段锦, 当成强身保健的功法, 古人也认为八段锦的八段功法有助于祛病保健, 延年益寿。八段锦和太极拳、太极引导一样, 对于中国气功发展都有深厚影响。 八段锦强调的肢体运动可以使血脉流通, 有意识呼吸可以用意念改造生理机能, 前者的活动量大, 还可以活气血、强筋骨, 后者是所有气功的精华。 修练八段锦功法者,不妨参阅“纳新排浊法”的呼吸及动作方式來练習会更加增强练功的效果
Eight–Section Brocade Exercise (Baduanjin)
Elegant and easy to learn
Baduanjin movements are gentle, slow, and graceful, with smooth and continuous transitions. They are neither stiff nor constrained, allowing for effortless and natural flow. The body moves with ease and elegance, combining both relaxation and tension, and seamlessly integrating dynamic and static elements. The spirit and form are harmonized, resulting in a sense of vitality throughout the entire body. It resembles internal martial arts and serves as an excellent practice for health cultivation, qigong, and martial arts. The Baduanjin exercises have been transmitted since the Song Dynasty, with a history spanning over thousands of years. According to legend, General Yue Fei ordered his officers and solders to learn the Baduanjin exercises. During the Qing Dynasty, Emperor Qianlong, Empress Dowager Cixi, and Mao Zedong all practiced Baduanjin as a method for enhancing their physical well-being. The ancients believed that the eight sections of the Baduanjin exercises were beneficial for dispelling illness, maintaining health, and prolonging life. Just like Taijiquan and Taiji Qigong, Baduanjin has had a profound influence on the development of Chinese Qigong. Baduanjin emphasizes physical movements that promote blood circulation, while conscious breathing can improve physiological functions through intention. The dynamic movements involve a higher level of physical activity, invigorating Qi and blood flow and strengthening tendons and bones, while conscious breathing represents the essence of all Qigong practices. For those who practise the Baduanjin exercises, it is recommended to refer to the breathing and movement techniques of the ‘Na Xin Pai Zhuo Fa’ (Inhaling Freshness and Exhaling Impurities method) to enhance the effectiveness of their practice.

Limbering-up Exercise for the Tendons (Yi Jin Jing)
Easy to learn, beautiful form
Yi Jin Jing is a medical and health-preserving technique that has been passed down through generations in ancient China. It has endured for hundreds of years and is widely recognized in the fitness and martial arts communities, as well as by medical scientists and exercise enthusiasts. In recent years, a dedicated team and expert review committee have been established by the mainland Chinese government and the Health Qigong Administrative Center of the General Administration of Sport of China. Representatives and experts from various Yi Jin Jing schools across China conducted a thorough and in-depth exchange, observation, and seminar on Qigong techniques and to further evaluate the effectiveness of the new techniques. After more than a year of diligent work, remarkable results were achieved, leading to the official promotion of the new development of Yi Jin Jing Health Qigong in the new century, guided by the principle of “taking the essence and discarding the dross.” Most people find the new exercises to be simple to learn, practice, and sustain. After practicing, they experience an uplifted spirit and a relaxed body. Yi Jin Jing has a wide range of beneficial effects and can be used as an adjunct therapy for treating diseases, healing injuries, promoting fitness and longevity.
